In our increasingly interconnected world, people are learning, creating, and interacting in unprecedented ways, but maximizing these opportunities also requires emotional and social skills for creative thinking, solving problems, and implementing solutions. English for 21st Century Skills can help educators achieve this goal. In this forum discussion, the book company and the editors will explore ways in which creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, inclusion, wellbeing, leadership, and other 21st century skills can be integrated and developed in language learning contexts.   • George Kokolas

    George Kokolas has been working as the Academic Director and Teacher Trainer for Express Publishing for the last 21 years. He has delivered lectures, presentations and demo lessons to over 1000 institutions/conferences in 89 countries. He is a certified LEVEL 5 TEFL teacher with deep knowledge and vast experience in training teachers. He is also a certified ADVANCED Neurolanguage CoachⓇ, practising Neurolanguage CoachingⓇ professionally or as an integration to regular classes. He currently studies Positive Psychology trying to merge ELT into it through different mindsets and activities He also holds a BA in English Literature and he is the co-host and producer of the internationally successful podcast “Teachers’ Coffee”. Since 2020 he is the Senior Editor/columnist for the Neurolanguage Collective Magazine.

  • Sophia Mavridi

    Sophia Mavridi is a digital learning specialist and lecturer in English Language Teaching at De Montfort University (UK). Her research focuses on online learning and the increasingly important role of digital literacies in language education. Sophia supports institutions and teachers to integrate technology in a pedagogically sound way and has trained for major organisations around the world. Her latest publications are Language Teaching Experiences During COVID-19 (2021), English for 21st Century Skills (2020) and Digital Innovations and Research in Language Learning (2020).   • Daniel Xerri

    Dr Daniel Xerri is a Senior Lecturer in TESOL at the University of Malta. He holds postgraduate degrees in English and Applied Linguistics, as well as a PhD in Education from the University of York. His most recent co-edited books are ELT Research in Action: Bringing Together Two Communities of Practice (with Jessica Mackay and Marilisa Birello, 2020, IATEFL), and English for 21st Century Skills (with Sophia Mavridi, 2020, Express Publishing).
